MORTGAGE APPLICATION CHECK LIST

  • Two Recent Pay Stubs
  • Last 2 years W2's
  • Are you self employed? Bring last 3 years business and personal tax returns along with a current P&L statement from your accountant
  • Checking and Savings Account, last 3 statements
  • Do you have any IRA's, mutual funds, bonds, etc. Bring information on those items such account numbers, cash value, etc.
  • Social Security Card
  • Driver's License
  • Veteran? Bring original discharge papers; VA certificate
  • Name, address, and phone number of current landlord for verification of rent payments
  • Name, address, and phone number of employer where employment verification will be sent
  • All credit cards, car loans, etc. bring last statement or coupon payment book
  • Divorced or separated? Bring copy of divorce or separation papers
  • Check for credit report in the amount of $_______ payable to ______________________________________
  • Do you have another party on any of your bank accounts, your mom, a friend or sibling maybe? Bring a letter from them stating they have no interest in that particular account and that all funds in that account are yours.
  • List your assets: example: type of car and value, value of furniture and amount of life insurance, etc.

The more of the above items you have with you at the time you make your application, the easier it will be for the mortgage officer to let you know if they see any problems in getting your loan approved, and/or what we need to do to get your loan approved! All of these items will be needed eventually, so the sooner the better!

The loan officer may ask for additional information after you make application.
